Meet Joel

I’m a copywriter, marketing communications strategist and human centered designer.

I provide comprehensive writing services, public relations and marketing communications support, Three Horizons strategy sessions, group and personalized Find Your Why seminars, cross cultural navigation support, individual leadership development, and general coaching/mentorship.

By providing clear, concise expertise in strategic communications and public relations, I envision a future where creative expression, self-actualization and equality are the accepted standards across organizations and for individuals.

My Why:
I want to be able to help translate concepts into semi-autonomous systems, so that others can benefit, grow and have greater social impact.

I am a seasoned communications professional with more than two decades of experience in corporate communications, brand public relations, and marketing communications. As the Principal of See Context, LLC, and Co-founder of The Delta Project, I combine expertise in communications with innovative thinking to drive social impact.

My academic background includes an M.S. in Communications from Grand Valley State University, an MBA Certificate in Design & Innovation Management from Kendall College of Art and Design, and a B.A. in English Literature from DePaul University. My Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) underscores my commitment to the evolving field of public relations.

In January 2020, I transitioned from my corporate career to entrepreneurship and teaching. My work with The Delta Project focuses on creating mentorship and opportunities for young people navigating the juvenile justice system. My approach is driven by my personal mission to translate concepts into semi-autonomous systems that benefit others and create greater social impact.

As an expert in intercultural communications, particularly Chinese culture, I bring a global perspective to my work. I follow 3 to 5-year plans for continuous improvement and knowledge acquisition, reflecting my dedication to personal and professional growth.

The Delta Project is a 501c3 non profit founded on the desire to use simple human storytelling to help people see their circumstances from a different perspective.

Their programs serve “at-potential” boys and young men of color, flipping the narrative that too often begins with “at-risk” youth.
